Does the picture below look familiar?
It does if you live in a neighborhood with lots of children. The van is usually being stalked by screaming children with change in their pockets, running hysterically shouting for the van to stop. Which the van driver cannot hear because of the annoying music radiating from the sound system perched on top of the van. Music which can be heard at least a mile away, calling all children to scrounge up some change and head outside. Most often you will see this van in the middle of the summer, when temperatures have reached the high nineties and the children are all out of school.
Well friends this picture was captured the first weekend in march, and has been a presence in our neighborhood ever since.
Getting a little bit of a head start this year?
Now I'm going to relate a little story, just so you can see just how many times this van has been down our street.
Yesterday, the ice cream man came around and my mom being the great, grandma that she is, came out and bought all of the kids an ice cream. Nate wasn't home from school yet, so my mom and Haylee were busy trying to decide what kind Nate would want; when the Ice Cream Man piped up and said, "Your brother always gets the sour one."
Should I be a little bit concerned, that not only does the Ice Cream Man know what kind of ice cream my child gets, but that he also knows who his siblings are? Or maby that my child has a little bit too much spending money, and a bit of an ice cream fettish!!!
Thanks mom for taking care of my kids while I was at work yesterday.
She also took my daughter to dancing and on their way there, they saw Nate and his friends walking home from school, and noticed that they were all barefoot!!!!
I don't even know what to say about this......

Ummmmm yeah that may be a concern! haha Little Nate and his Ice Cream Fetish!
I was hoping that you were going to share the story about Cute little Haylee when she was 4 or so paying the Ice Cream man with her pennies. Setting one on the counter and after each and every penny saying "Is that enough" and then the Ice Cream Man finally giving up and just giving the Cute little Girl her ICe Cream.
FYI: The Ice Cream man came down my street a few weeks ago but it was only to stop and use the porta potty in the empty lot in front of our house. Hopefully he wzashed his hands. :O
So do you want to hear about the first time Nate had the sour ice cream? Well it was last summer and I think Abby got the sour ice cream she didn't like it so offered it to Nate and Noah. Well somehow in the process of trading the sour ice cream fell onto the road. But boys being boys they picked it up and ate it, asphalt and all... Just be happy that he ate this one out of the package.
That is so funny. Little nate he is so cute.
